The Head of the NGIC made a statement today to correct some of the reporting on the WMDs that have been found.

1. The idea that these WMDs are invalid because they come from before 1991 is incorrect. This is exactly what kind of munitions they were looking for. These type was what we knew he had and used against Iran and the Kurds and these are what they having been looking for.

2. Degraded does not mean not deadly. Sarin nerve agent if used correctly can kill 10,000 of people will just a few ounces. The shells that were found had whole ’liters’ of nerve agent and can be very, very deadly if not treated carefully and could be used in a 'road side bomb' by insurgents if found by them.

3. The reason that the CIA and DoD have not found WMDs with their searches? They have only searched less then 1% of the ‘Known’ Weapon caches and that doesn’t even touch on all the ‘unknown’ weapon caches.

4. The summary report is only ‘one’ page of a six page summary on a multi paged report. Much of this report is still classified and not open to the public, YET. The is work to release the whole report before the end of the year. The whole report has much more information on WMDs and what Saddam did and didn’t have.

Rep. John Murtha (D.-Pa.) appears to be suffering "Daschle-itis," a figurative disease which makes entrenched incumbents become national celebrities and, in the process, risk alienating the voters that put them in office.

Since seizing his party's anti-war mantle, Murtha has become a great draw for Democratic fundraisers, helping his party boost its prospects for a congressional takeover. Naturally, this helps his party-leadership bid as well.

But at the same time, his outspokenness made him a huge target for the Internet right. His district went for John Kerry with only 51% in 2004. What originally seemed like a long-shot bid by Diana Irey (R.) to unseat Murtha has taken on new credibility as she raises money from the Internet and as Murtha makes more and more outrageous statements.

Murtha's opposition to the war has never been the real issue. His assertion that the U.S. is the greatest danger to world peace is only the most recent and perhaps most striking example of his potentially dangerous venture into the great left. Even more offensive were his statements condemning Marines who allegedly participated in a massacre in Iraq, which gave no regard to the presumption of innocence or the existence of evidence (the Marines involved maintain their innocence).

In fact, by stating that he had high-level confirmation that a massacre occurred, Murtha may have set a trap for himself. As the court martial begins, he is likely to be subpoenaed in the pre-trial hearings to testify to allegations of inappropriate command influence on the trial. He risks having his high-level sources of information exposed, or exposed as flimsy -- or even non-existent.

Irey, who looks quite young, is a bit green, but her handlers see her as great raw material. She has scored a series of unopposed television appearances on Fox News that have helped her raise money, and her message could resonate in what has always been a conservative Democratic district. Murtha was previously known as a pro-life, pro-gun Democrat. He received biennial votes for speaker from Rep. Gene Taylor (D-Miss.), who, until this year, had refused to support any candidate for the position who was pro-choice on abortion. Leaning Democratic Retention....

Help me understand Democrats, how is calling America BAD and more dangerous to world peace, THEN North Korea or Iran, going to help you win elections?? Don't you think that most Americans don't see themselves as dangerous? Or more dangerous then Korea or Iran?? Murtha is not helping the Democratic Party out by saying this 4 months before an election....

American presence in Iraq is more dangerous to world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran, U.S. Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., said to a crowd of more than 200 in North Miami Saturday afternoon.

Murtha was the guest speaker at a town hall meeting organized by U.S. Rep. Kendrick B. Meek, D-Miami, at Florida International University's Biscayne Bay Campus. Meek's mother, former U.S. Rep. Carrie Meek, D-Miami, was also on the panel.

A former Marine and a prominent critic of the Bush administration's policies in Iraq, Murtha reiterated his views that the war cannot be won militarily and needs political solutions. He said the more than 100,000 troops in Iraq should be pulled out immediately, and deployed to peripheral countries like Kuwait.

"We do not want permanent bases in Iraq," Murtha told the audience. "We want as many Americans out of there as possible."

Murtha also has publicly said that the shooting of 24 Iraqis in November at Haditha, a city in the Anbar province of western Iraq that has been plagued by insurgents, was wrongfully covered up.

The killings, which sparked an investigation into the deadly encounter and another into whether they were the subject of a cover-up, could undermine U.S. efforts in Iraq more than the prison abuse scandal at Abu Ghraib in 2004, Murtha said.

"[The United States] became the target when Abu Ghraib came along," Murtha said.

U.S. efforts to win over Iraqis were tarnished when it was revealed that U.S. military personnel had abused and humiliated people held at Abu Ghraib, a prison outside Baghdad.

Most in the crowd agreed with Murtha and the need to redeploy troops from Iraq as soon as possible. "I believe we are in a mess over there [in Iraq]," said Alnoor Jamal, 49, of Miami.

Peter Hoekstra- (born October 30, 1953) is an American politician from the U.S. state of Michigan. A Republican, Hoekstra has represented the state's 2nd Congressional district (map) since taking office in 1993 following his win in the 1992 election.

John D. Negroponte- (born July 21, 1939)is a career diplomat currently serving as United States Director of National Intelligence. Prior to this appointment, Negroponte served in the United States Foreign Service from 1960 to 1997. He has various tours of duty as a United States Ambassador, including a three-year ambassadorship to the Philippines from 1993 to 1996. Jane Harman- (born June 28, 1945), American politician, has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 2001, representing the 36th District of California (map). The 36th district includes Torrance, Redondo Beach, Venice and West Carson. She previously represented the district from 1993 to 1999. She was born in New York City, was educated at Smith College and the Harvard University School of Law, and was a lawyer, a staff member for US Senator John V. Tunney, adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center, chief counsel and staff director for the United States Senate Judiciary subcommittee on constitutional rights, deputy secretary to the Cabinet at the White House (1977-1978) and special counsel to the Department of Defense before entering the House. Harman ran for Governor of California in 1998 but was defeated in the Democratic primary by then-Lieutenant Governor Gray Davis.

J. Dennis Hastert- born January 2, 1942, is an American politician, and has served as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives since 1999 (he surpassed Joseph Gurney Cannon as the longest-serving Republican Speaker on June 1, 2006). Since 1987, he has been a Republican congressman from Illinois, representing that state's 14th District. Hastert's opponent in the 2006 general election is Democrat and former Navy intelligence officer John Laesch.

Nancy Pelosi- (born March 26, 1940) is the Minority Leader of the United States House of Representatives. A Democrat, she is the first woman to lead a major political party in either house of Congress. She has represented California's 8th District since 1987 (it was numbered the 5th District until 1993). The 8th covers almost all of San Francisco except for a corner in the southwest that is part of the San Mateo County-based 12th District.

Duncan Hunter- (born May 31, 1948), American politician, has been a Republican member of the House of Representatives since 1981 from the 52nd District in northern and eastern San Diego County (map). It was previously numbered the 42nd District from 1981 to 1983 and then the 45th District from 1983 to 1993. He is chairman of the House Armed Services Committee.

C.W. Bill Young-(born December 16, 1930), American politician, has been a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives since 1971, representing the 10th District of Florida. (map). Young is currently the most senior Republican member of the House of Representatives. From 1999 to 2005, he was the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations; he gave up the position because of Republican-set term limits. He is currently chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense.

John P. Murtha-(born June 17, 1932) is an American politician from the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. A Democrat, he has served in the United States House of Representatives since 1974 as the representive from Pennsylvania's 12th congressional district, based in Johnstown and includes most of the southern and eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh.

Bill Frist-(born February 22, 1952 in Nashville, Tennessee) is a Republican U.S. Senator from Tennessee. Since 2003, he has served as Senate Majority Leader. He is frequently mentioned as a potential candidate for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination and won a straw poll victory at the 2006 Southern Republican Leadership conference.

Harry Reid-(born December 2, 1939) is the senior United States Senator from Nevada and a member of the Democratic Party, for which he serves as Senate Minority Leader.

Rick Santorum-(born May 10, 1958), commonly known as Rick Santorum, is an American politician from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the United States. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1990 from a suburban Pittsburgh district and to the U.S. Senate in 1994. Santorum is a Republican and is chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, the number-three job in the party leadership of the Senate. This summary (Which means there is a lot of the report we HAVEN’T seen yet) provides an unclassified overview of the chemical munitions recovered in Iraq since May 2004.

Key Points:

--Since 2003 (Since ‘03, what has been found before ‘03?) Coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded (Having been corrupted or depraved, Having been reduced in quality or value, BUT Still deadly) mustard or sarin nerve agent.

Mustard Gas-The sulfur mustards, of which mustard gas is a member, are a class of related cytotoxic, vesicant chemical warfare agents with the ability to form large blisters on exposed skin. In their pure form most sulfur mustards are colorless, odorless, viscous liquids at room temperature. When used as warfare agents they are usually yellow-brown in color and have an odor resembling mustard plants, garlic or horseradish, which is how they got their name. However, these compounds have absolutely no relation whatsoever to culinary mustard.

Sarin nerve agent- also known by its NATO designation of GB (O-Isopropyl methylphosphonofluoridate) is an extremely toxic substance whose sole application is as a nerve agent. As a chemical weapon, it is classified as a weapon of mass destruction by the United Nations according to UN Resolution 687, and its production and stockpiling was outlawed by the Chemical Weapons Convention of 1993.

--Despite many efforts to locate and destroy Iraq’s pre-gulf war chemical munitions, filled and unfilled pre-gulf war chemical munitions are assessed to STILL EXIST.

--Pre-Gulf war Iraqi chemical weapons COULD BE sold on the black market. Use of these weapons by terrorists or insurgent groups would have implications for Coalition forces in Iraq. The possibility of us outside Iraq CANNOT BE RULED OUT.

--The most likely munitions remaining are sarin and mustard-filled projectiles.

--The purity of the agent inside the munitions depends on many factors, including the manufacturing process, potential additives, and environmental storage conditions. While agents degrade over time, chemical warfare agents remain hazardous and potentially lethal.

--It has been reported in OPEN PRESS that insurgents and Iraqi groups desire to acquire and use chemical weapons.

This report was released by the Committee on Intelligence, WITH Pelosi, Reid, Murtha, and Rockefeller. Do you think THEY and the other Democrats would let this report stand if it was a FAKE or untrue?? This summary is just that a ‘summary’, the report has not been made public yet, this is just the ‘tip’ of the iceberg on what’s going on in Iraq. It’s doesn’t matter how old the stuff is, Saddam hid it from the U.N. and the U.S. It doesn’t matter if it is degraded now, what kind of condition was it in 3 years ago? 4 years ago? When Saddam could have tried and used it. Would is the rest of the WMDs?? Syria? Iran? Who knows but we better find out.

This is a big kick right in the nuts for the Deems. With this release, even IF the Democrats could take back one or both sides of Congress, this report PROVES that Bush was right in going into Iraq and Taking out Saddam. There will be NO impeachment, no ‘tarring and feathering’ of the Administration. This along with the Killing of al-Zarqawi and Sheik Mansour, and the growing strength of the new Iraqi government and the time table set to start pulling the unneeded troops from Iraq at the end of this year, Spells doom for the Democratic party in the elections of ‘06 and ‘08.
